Pulaski, Missouri facts for kids
Pulaski is a small place in Ripley County, Missouri. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town does. This community is located along the old Missouri Pacific Railroad line. You can find Pulaski about four miles east of Doniphan and three miles west of Oxly.
History
The community of Pulaski got its name from a famous person. It was named after Casimir Pulaski, who was a Polish military leader. He was a hero in the American Revolutionary War, helping America gain its independence. A post office was opened in Pulaski in 1912. It served the community for many years before closing in 1935.
