Pumuckls Abenteuer facts for kids

Pumuckls Abenteuer (which means "Pumuckl's Adventures") is a fun German TV show. It's all about a mischievous little creature named Pumuckl. He was created by Ellis Kaut. This series is a follow-up to an older show from the 1980s called Meister Eder and his Pumuckl. It also connects to the movie Pumuckl und der blaue Klabauter (Pumuckl and the Blue Klabauter). The actor who played Meister Eder in the first show, Gustl Bayrhammer, passed away. So, the creators decided to bring in new characters from the movie. This made the movie like a special introduction to this new series.

What's the Story About?

This show is all about Pumuckl, a tiny, magical Kobold. He is a type of Klabauter, which are small, invisible creatures. Pumuckl is usually invisible to most people. But he can be seen by chef Odessi (Towje Kleiner), who he lives with. Pumuckl started living with Odessi after leaving his old friend, master carpenter Eder. This happened during the movie Pumuckl und der blaue Klabauter in 1994.

Meet the Characters

• Pumuckl is the main character of the show. He is invisible when other people are around, except for Odessi. He is still very playful and loves to cause a little mischief.
• Odessi is the only human who can see Pumuckl now that Meister Eder has passed away. He works as a chef on a ship. Odessi is originally from Munich, but he decided to go to sea. He also loves to sing! His parents are from Sicily, so he speaks Italian very well. He even sings all his songs in Italian. His favorite saying is "Es kommt, wie es kommen muss." This means "It comes as it must."
• Willibald is an older sailor and Odessi's best human friend. He strongly believes in what the stars say, a bit like Mrs. Eichinger from the first two seasons of the original show. At first, he doesn't believe that Pumuckl exists. But after Pumuckl keeps untying his shoelace, he has to admit that Pumuckl is real. Willibald has a parrot named Lilalora. She can only say her own name and "Aye aye Kapitän!" He quickly starts to like Pumuckl. When Odessi decides to leave, Willibald gets very sad. He asks Odessi if Pumuckl could stay on the ship. However, Pumuckl chooses to stay with Odessi. One of Willibald's biggest wishes is to be able to see Pumuckl. So, at the end, Odessi takes a photo of Pumuckl. But even in the photo, only Odessi can see him, not Willibald. Willibald is very disappointed about this. Wolfgang Völz plays Willibald.
• Paul is the ship's helmsman and operator. He is very good with electronics. He even built an alarm system for the ship. He also loves taking photos. However, he can be a bit arrogant and impatient. Unlike Willibald, he refuses to believe in klabauters until the very end. But in the end, even he gets emotional when Odessi leaves and gives him a hug.
• Peter is the ship's captain. His first name is revealed in the seventh episode. He has a daughter and a granddaughter who live in Paris. Hans Clarin, who also provides Pumuckl's voice, plays Captain Peter.
• Corinna is Odessi's girlfriend. He met her in Hamburg. Her grandma, who is a widow, lives near the Tegernsee lake.
• Hanno is Corinna's older brother. When Odessi first sees him, he mistakenly thinks Hanno is Corinna's boyfriend.
