Pursat is a province located in Cambodia. Its main city, which is also its capital, is called Pursat.
This province is found between the large Tonlé Sap lake and the Cardamom Mountains. The Pursat River flows right through the middle of the province. Pursat is also one of the nine provinces that are part of the Tonlé Sap Biosphere Reserve. This reserve helps protect the natural environment around the lake. You can also find Wat Bakan here, which is thought to be one of the oldest active pagodas (Buddhist temples) in Cambodia.
