Pushim's Music Journey
Pushim started her music career in 1995. She began performing in the reggae music scene in Kansai, Japan.
Early Success
In 1998, Pushim sang backup vocals for a song called "It's Too Late." After that, she signed with Sony Music Japan. Her first single, "Brand New Day", was released on June 19, 1999. It was very popular! Later that year, in September 1999, she released her second hit single, "Strong Woman."
First Album and Live Shows
In the spring of 2000, Pushim released her first album, Say Greetings. She had recorded this album in Jamaica, which is a country famous for reggae music. In 2003, she performed at a big music festival called Reggae Sumfest.
Working with Other Artists
Pushim often travels to Jamaica to record new songs. In 2006, her album Sing A Song... Lighter! featured a singer named Luciano. In 2007, she recorded music in Jamaica with famous musicians like Sly & Robbie.
Awards and Family
In 2010, Pushim was nominated for an award. It was for 'Best Reggae Video' at the MTV Video Music Awards in Japan. Pushim also has a younger sister, Youngshim, who is also a reggae musician in the Osaka area.
