Pyramid Creek Falls is a stunning waterfall where water from Pyramid Creek tumbles down into the North Thompson River. This creek gets its water from melting glaciers, making it very cold and clear!
The waterfall is about 300 feet (about 91 meters) high. It drops in two big sections. The second and largest part of the waterfall spreads out at the bottom. It looks a bit like a pyramid, which is how the falls got its name! After the water falls, Pyramid Creek flows under the railway tracks and then joins the North Thompson River.
How to See the Falls
It can be a bit tricky to get close to Pyramid Creek Falls and its park. The falls are on the other side of the river from Highway 5. This means most people see the falls from across the river, which still offers a great view!
However, if you're traveling on VIA Rail Canada trains, especially The Canadian, you get a super close-up view! The train tracks run right past the falls. When the train gets close, a crew member will announce it. The train even slows down so passengers can get a really good look and take pictures.
