Early Life and First Steps in Music

Quanteisha grew up in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. From a young age, she showed a passion for music. In 2008, she decided to enter a local singing contest. This competition was called "Bounce Showdown." It was held by a popular radio station, 91.7 The Bounce. Quanteisha impressed the judges and became the fourth person to win the contest. This win helped her start her music journey.

Q-Benjamin's Music Career

After her win, Q-Benjamin signed with a music company called HipJoint Productions. They are based in Vancouver. In 2008, she recorded her first two songs: "Cover Girls" and "Get Loose."

Songs on TV and in Movies

Her song "Cover Girls" was chosen to be used in a TV show. It was featured in the sitcom 'da Kink in My Hair. A music video was also made for the song. In 2009, she released more songs, including "Someday" and "D'n'G." The song "Someday" was also used in another TV show called Gigantic. Later in 2009, a new version of "Get Loose" was featured in the comedy movie American Pie Presents: The Book of Love.

Winning a Juno Award
