A Look Back at Queen's Cross Church
The church has a rich history. From 1965 to 1983, a minister named Dr. Edmund S. P. Jones led the church. During his time, the church grew and changed a lot.
Changes and Growth in the 1970s
In 1975, the old house for the minister, called the manse, was sold. A new manse was bought nearby. The church also added new parts. In 1971, a new area for young children was built. This helped the church serve more families.
Updates for the 100th Birthday
The main church area, called the sanctuary, was updated. An architect named James Roy redesigned and redecorated it. This work was done for the church's 100th birthday in 1981. These changes made the church building even better.
New Leadership for the Church
After Dr. Jones moved in 1983, the Revd Bob Brown became the new minister. He served the church from 1984 until he retired in 2008.
