Enriqueta Margarita Lavat Bayona (born February 23, 1929 – died December 4, 2023), known as Queta Lavat, was a famous Mexican actress. She was the sister of actors Jorge Lavat and José Lavat. Her son, Pablo Carrillo, is a well-known sports anchor in Mexico. Queta Lavat was especially famous for her roles in movies like Las tandas del principal and Cruz de amor, and the TV show Clase 406.

Queta Lavat's Early Life
Queta Lavat was born in Mexico City. She had six brothers, and two of them, Jorge Lavat and José Lavat, also became famous actors. Her family first lived in Colonia Roma in Mexico City. Later, they moved to Colonia San Rafael. When Queta was young, her cousin, María Elena Marqués, told her to try dance classes at La Academia Shirley. Queta later won a talent contest!
Queta Lavat's Acting Career
Queta Lavat had many great memories of working with the famous actor Jorge Negrete. They made five movies together, including Dos tipos de cuidado and Tal para cual. Queta said it was wonderful to work with stars like Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante. She remembered that Mr. Negrete would invite them for coffee and sweet bread. He would tell interesting stories. Queta loved to knit in her free time. Negrete would playfully call her his "little spider" because she was always knitting.
She also worked with other well-known actors, such as Pedro Infante and Irma Dorantes. Irma Dorantes is still one of Queta's closest friends. They appeared together in films like Dos tipos de cuidado.

Queta's cousin, María Elena Marqués, was very important in her life. Because of her cousin, Queta met her husband, Armando Carrillo. They were married for 43 years and had four sons. Queta shared that her cousin told her, "I'm going to introduce you to a good, hardworking, and handsome man." And she was right! Queta and Armando dated for eight years and then got married.
Queta Lavat appeared in many TV shows and movies. She was in 160 films and 38 TV series! She even appeared in some episodes of the show La Tremenda Corte.
On February 23, 2009, Queta Lavat celebrated her 80th birthday. All her family and friends were there, including fellow actors Luz María Aguilar and Irma Dorantes.
In 2011, Queta acted in the TV series Amorcito corazón. She played the role of Sor Pilar. Queta always said she never wanted to stop working. She wanted to keep acting as long as she was able, even if she had to be in a wheelchair.

- Also in 2012, she won the Choca de Oro award for her 50-year career.
- In 1992, she won the Premios Ace Award for "Best Supporting Actor in a Telenovela" from the Association of Latin Entertainment Critics. This was for her role as Brigida in Ángeles blancos.
