Quinn L. Cummings was born on August 13, 1967. She is an American entrepreneur, author, humorist, and inventor. She was also a child actress.

Quinn became famous as a child actor. She played Lucy McFadden in the movie The Goodbye Girl. For this role, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was one of the youngest people ever to get an Academy Award nomination! She was also known for her role as Annie Cooper in the TV show Family. After she stopped acting, Quinn became a business owner and has written several books.

Quinn Cummings was born in Los Angeles, California. Her father, Sumner, was a businessman. He passed away when she was young. Her mother, Jan, worked as a bookkeeper.

Acting in Film and TV

Quinn Cummings started her acting career after being discovered by cinematographer James Wong Howe. Soon, she began getting roles in many TV commercials.

She then won the part of Lucy McFadden in the 1977 movie The Goodbye Girl. Lucy was the daughter of the character played by Marsha Mason. Quinn's acting in this movie earned her nominations for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture.

In 1978, Quinn had a regular role on the drama series Family. In 1985, she appeared in the TV show Hail to the Chief. In this show, she played the daughter of the first female president of the United States. The president was played by Patty Duke. Quinn's last acting role was in 1992, on an episode of Evening Shade.

Other Projects

After her daughter was born, Quinn created the HipHugger. This was a special sling to carry a baby. She was the president of the HipHugger company. She sold the company in 2006.

In 2005, Quinn started a blog called The QC Report. On her blog, she wrote about funny things in modern life. She shared her thoughts as a working mom in her 30s.
