RaVaughn Nichelle Brown, known as RaVaughn, is an American singer and songwriter. She was born in Carson, California. RaVaughn is the older sister of actress Rhyon Nicole Brown.
Her music is mostly R&B, but it also has pop and rock sounds. She has been inspired by famous artists like Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, and Beyoncé. RaVaughn has sung background vocals for many artists, including Celine Dion and Jennifer Hudson.
She released her first collection of songs, called an EP, in 2012. It was titled Love Always… The Introduction. RaVaughn is currently a background vocalist for Justin Timberlake. She is on his 2024 The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. This tour started in April 2024 and is set to finish in December 2024.

RaVaughn's Music Journey
After going to college in New York City, RaVaughn recorded some demo songs. A demo is a sample recording to show off a singer's talent. She then became a background singer on the popular TV show Glee for three seasons.
Soon after, she signed with Compound University. This is a music company started by the singer Ne-Yo. In 2011, she also signed with Columbia Records.
RaVaughn attended the 2013 Grammy Awards with Ne-Yo. In June 2013, she talked to The Source magazine. She discussed her music and future plans. She shared her hopes for her album, Love Always. She wanted it to inspire women to be strong and in control of their lives.
Music Releases
RaVaughn's first EP, Love Always… The Introduction, came out on September 14, 2012. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs. After it was released, a music website called Urban Music Daily praised her. They said she was an amazing R&B artist.
On February 21, 2013, she released "Better Be Good." This song featured the rapper Wale. It was meant to be the first single from her planned album. A single is usually one song released to promote an album.
In March 2013, she shared a sampler of her album on SoundCloud. This sampler included songs like "Better Be Good" and "Best Friend." Her second single, "Best Friend," was released on May 16, 2013.
By 2014, RaVaughn was no longer working with Compound and Columbia Records. Because of this, her album, Love Always, was never officially released.
Live Performances
RaVaughn performed her song "Best Friend" on Sirius XM Radio in April 2013.
On May 7, 2013, RaVaughn joined Yahoo!'s On the Road tour. She performed with Kendrick Lamar in Cincinnati, Ohio. She talked about her experiences and life on tour in an interview with Yahoo!.
RaVaughn also performed at the 106 KMEL's Summer Jam concert. This concert was on June 9 in Oakland, California. She shared the stage with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Wale.
Staff at Concrete Loop were very impressed by her performance of "Best Friend." This was an exclusive show on June 26, 2013.
RaVaughn performed at the 2013 BET Awards in Los Angeles, California. This happened on June 30, 2013. She was featured as one of the "Music Matters" artists.
