Rachel grew up in Australia. She has an identical twin sister, Toba Khedoori, who is also an artist. Her brother is David Khedoori. Rachel was married to artist Jason Rhoades.
Her Education and Early Career
Rachel studied art at two well-known schools. She earned her first art degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1988. Later, she received her master's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1994.
Rachel started showing her art in 1994. Her first show was with her twin sister, Toba. Rachel's first solo art show was a big success. It happened in 2001 at Kunsthalle Basel in Switzerland. In this show, Rachel used film projected onto different objects. Her art often mixes real life with abstract ideas using film, sculptures, and art installations.
Rachel has lived and worked in Los Angeles, California, since 1990.
