Rachel McFarlane's professional music career began in 1992. She first joined a music group called The Family Foundation. With this group, she helped record a song called "Express Yourself."
Joining Loveland
After The Family Foundation, Rachel became a key singer for the house music group Loveland in 1994. House music is a type of electronic dance music. With Loveland, she sang on their popular song "Let the Music (Lift You Up)". This song was a big hit, reaching number 16 on the music charts in the UK. In the same year, she also worked with another group, N-Trance, on their song "Turn Up the Power."
Solo Success and Big Hits
In 1998, Rachel McFarlane released her very first solo song, "Lover." This song was also quite popular, making it into the Top 40 songs in the UK. It was so well-liked that it was re-released in 2005 and became a Top 40 hit again!
A few years later, in 2004, Rachel teamed up with the group LMC. She sang the vocals for their song "Take Me to the Clouds Above."
