Radley has a short but interesting history. A post office, where people could send and receive mail, was opened in Radley in 1899. This post office served the community for about 12 years. It closed down in 1911.
According to some stories, Radley got its name from the father-in-law of the person who was the postmaster at the time. A postmaster is the person in charge of a post office.
