Rafael Carvajal Guzmán (1818–1881) was an important Ecuadorian politician. He played a role in the government of Ecuador during the 1860s.

He served as Vice President of Ecuador from 1864 to 1865. During this time, he worked alongside President Gabriel García Moreno. When President García Moreno's term ended unexpectedly, Rafael Carvajal stepped in as the acting President. He held this role for a short period, from August 31, 1865, to September 7, 1865. After his brief time as acting president, Jerónimo Carrión became the next president.
