Rafael Marín Trechera was born in Cádiz, Spain, in 1959. He is a talented Spanish writer who creates novels, translates books, and writes comic books. He also helps plan comic book stories.

He is well known in the United States for his work on popular comic series. He worked with artist Carlos Pacheco on the Fantastic Four comic from 2000 to 2001. He also worked on The Inhumans with artists José Ladronn and Jorge Lucas.

In Spain, he wrote mini-series like Iberia Inc and Triada Vértice. He also worked on a 12-issue historical comic series called 12 del Doce. Besides writing, Rafael Marín is also an expert on the history of comic books.
