Rafael Rosell IV (born November 10, 1982) is a Filipino actor and model known for his roles in many popular TV shows and movies in the Philippines.

Early Life and Background
Rafael Rosell IV was born in Stavanger, Norway. His parents are both from the Philippines. His father, Rafael Rosell III, worked as a geologist, and his mother, Amelia Quimpo, was a nurse.
Even though he grew up in Norway, his family has deep roots in Cebu, a province in the Philippines. He is the oldest of three children.
Acting Career
Rafael's acting journey began by chance. In 2000, while on vacation in the Philippines with his family, his mother learned about auditions for the TV network ABS-CBN. He decided to try out and landed a role in a TV commercial for Close-Up toothpaste. Soon after, he signed a contract with Star Magic, a talent agency.
First Years at ABS-CBN (2000–2012)
In 2002, Rafael got his first major role in the movie Kung Ikaw ay Isang Panaginip. His big break on television came in 2004 when he starred opposite famous actress Claudine Barretto in the fantasy series Marina.
In 2006, he became a member of the popular all-male group Coverboys, along with other actors like Zanjoe Marudo and Jake Cuenca. His acting skills were recognized in 2007 when he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 30th Gawad Urian Awards for his role in the independent film Rome & Juliet.
He continued to appear in popular shows like Rounin and Prinsesa ng Banyera. In 2010, he gained more fame for his role in the afternoon drama Midnight Phantom, where he was paired with his close friend, actress Denise Laurel. Their on-screen chemistry was so popular that they were paired again in the series Kristine.
Moving to GMA Network (2012–2019)
In 2012, Rafael moved to the GMA Network. One of his first major projects there was the hit drama Temptation of Wife, where he starred with actress Marian Rivera. He stayed with GMA for seven years, appearing in many different TV shows.
Return to ABS-CBN and GMA
After his time with GMA, Rafael returned to ABS-CBN in 2019, appearing in an episode of the drama series Ipaglaban Mo!. He has since worked with both networks. In 2021, he made a comeback to GMA in the series To Have & To Hold. In 2024, he was part of the ABS-CBN series Can't Buy Me Love.
Personal Life
Rafael Rosell was in a relationship with Malaya Lewandowski for three years until they separated in 2009. He has been married to Valerie Chia since 2020.
