Introduced | 1990 |
Raffaello is a yummy, round candy made by an Italian company called Ferrero. It first came out in 1990. This sweet treat has a crispy, round wafer shell. Inside, you'll find a smooth, creamy white filling and a whole, blanched almond. The whole candy is then covered in delicious coconut flakes. Raffaello contains milk, so it's not suitable for people who can't have dairy products.
Where Raffaello Is Made
Ferrero makes Raffaello candies in several factories around the world. Some of these factories are located in Vladimir, Russia; Brantford, Canada; and Arlon, Belgium. Russia is the biggest market for Raffaello, meaning a lot of these candies are sold there.
The Story of Raffaello
In 2017, a court in Frankfurt in Germany made a rule about Raffaello. The court decided that Ferrero had to clearly state how many Raffaello candies were inside each packet. Before this, they only had to list the total weight of the candies.
