Raffi Farid Ahmad (born on February 17, 1987) is a famous Indonesian actor, TV host, singer, and businessman. He is also a film producer and a well-known media personality. Raffi comes from Sundanese and Pakistani families. He is the oldest son of Munawar Ahmad and Amy Qanita. Raffi is also the person who started the company RANS Entertainment.

Early Life

Raffi was born in Bandung, West Java, on February 17, 1987. He is the first of four children in his family.

Career Journey

Starting Out: 2001–2011

Raffi began his career as a model in 2001. He joined a competition called Cover Boy. Besides acting, he also appeared in TV ads, hosted shows, and sang. He had a small role in the TV show Tunjuk Satu Bintang. Later, he got a main role in Senandung Masa Puber with Bunga Citra Lestari. After that, he appeared in many other TV shows, TV movies (FTV), and films like Love is Cinta. People really liked his acting in that movie.

In 2006, a famous musician named Melly Goeslaw looked for singers for a group called Bukan Bintang Biasa (also known as BBB). This group was for a teen TV show. Raffi was chosen along with Laudya Cynthia Bella, Chelsea Olivia Wijaya, Dimas Beck, and Ayushita. Their first song, "Let's Dance Together," was very popular. Then, BBB starred in a movie called Bukan Bintang Biasa. The song from this movie became a big hit with teenagers.

In 2008, Raffi's acting career grew even more. He appeared in films like Liar and Asoy Geboy. He became even more famous when he started hosting a music show called Dahsyat. He hosted it with two other talented artists, Luna Maya and Olga Syahputra. At the end of 2008, BBB released a new song, "Putus Nyambung," which was also very popular.

By 2009, Raffi was one of the most popular hosts on the music show Dahsyat. He also hosted two new shows, Rafi Wkwkwk and OMG, with Olga Syahputra. He continued acting in TV movies, the TV show Buku Harian Baim, and the comedy show OKB. He also released a new song, "Johan (Jodoh di Tangan Tuhan)," which he sang with Laudya Chintya Bella.

On February 26, 2010, Raffi and Yuni Shara performed together at the 2010 Dahsyatnya Awards. After this, they worked together on many projects. These included ads, a duet song called "50 Tahun Lagi," and the movie Rumah Tanpa Jendela. Raffi also directed a short film called Barbie, starring Yuni Shara. This 10-minute movie won the "Best Movie" award at the 2011 LA Lights Indie Movie.

At the end of 2011, Raffi starred in a horror-comedy film called Pocong Kesetanan. Because of all his hard work in TV shows, movies, commercials, and businesses, he was named one of Indonesia's richest artists in 2011.

Growing Fame: 2012–Present

On August 28, 2014, Raffi made a special appearance in the Indonesian movie Olga & Billy Lost in Singapore. He appeared with Olga Syahputra, Billy Syahputra, Chand Kelvin, and his sister, Syahnaz Sadiqah.

Personal Life

Raffi has dated several Indonesian actresses. These include Laudya Cynthia Bella, Bunga Zainal, Ratna Galih, Tyas Mirasih, and Velove Vexia.

On October 17, 2014, Raffi married his childhood friend, actress Nagita Slavina. He was 27 years old at the time. Their wedding was a big event and was shown live on TV across the country. The wedding celebrations took place in three cities: Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali. They had a traditional Javanese ceremony and reception in Jakarta. They also had a private party in Bali and a special event called Ngunduh Mantu in Bandung.

On August 15, 2015, Nagita gave birth to their first son, Rafathar Malik Ahmad. Rafathar later appeared in a movie called Rafathar: The Movie, playing himself. He also appeared on the TV show Rumah Mama Amy.

Raffi and Nagita welcomed their second son, Rayyanza Malik Ahmad, on November 26, 2021. Rayyanza, also known as Cipung, became very popular on social media right after he was born. His popularity keeps growing because of his cute actions. He also went viral when Nagita dressed him in different costumes for photoshoots. Even at a young age, he earns money from social media ads, TV shows, and their family's YouTube channel.

Raffi is also a busy businessman. He has his own clothing lines, food products, body sprays, masks, and furniture brands.
