Rainbow Valley is a quiet, spread-out area in the United States, located south of the Gila River. It's not part of a city like Buckeye. Instead, it's an "unincorporated" community, which means it's directly managed by Maricopa County. This area is very open, with only about 34 people living in each square mile.

To the east of Rainbow Valley, you'll find a community called Estrella Mountain Ranch. Rainbow Valley has one store, a Dollar General, for quick needs. For more shopping, people usually go to Estrella Mountain or Buckeye. The landscape here is full of beautiful mountains and hills.

Who Lives in Rainbow Valley?

Many of the older houses in Rainbow Valley were built between 1970 and 1999. Around the year 2000, a lot of new people moved into the area. In fact, almost half of the people living there today moved in after 2000!

Most homes in Rainbow Valley are mobile homes, but the older houses are not. There are only two special areas with many homes close together, called "subdivisions." These are Grand View Ranches and Grand View Ranches II. The rest of Rainbow Valley mostly has very large pieces of land, often many acres big.

You might also see several dairies in Rainbow Valley, which are farms that produce milk. Many people who live here also have farm animals like horses, goats, and chickens!

Schools in Rainbow Valley

Rainbow Valley has one elementary school, called Rainbow Valley Elementary School. This school is part of the Liberty Elementary School District. Students can attend Rainbow Valley Elementary from kindergarten all the way up to eighth grade.

After finishing eighth grade, students usually go to high school. They can choose to attend either Estrella Foothills High School or Buckeye High School.
