Rakesh Sethi is a well-known chef and TV star from India. He is famous for his cooking skills and for appearing on television. Currently, he works as a top chef for the Radisson Hotel Group. Many people know him from his popular cooking show called Mirch Masala on StarPlus.
Chef Rakesh Sethi's Journey
Rakesh Sethi started his cooking adventure after finishing his studies in 1982. He went to the Institute of Hotel Management in Pusa. His first job was as a chef for Hotel Corp of India.
In the 2000s, Chef Sethi became a household name. He hosted his own cooking show, Mirch Masala, on StarPlus. This show was very popular and ran for more than 160 episodes! He also worked as a head chef at several big hotels. These included Ramada Plaza and Inter-Continental The Grand in New Delhi. He also worked for East India Hotels in New Delhi.
Setting a World Record
Chef Sethi was part of an amazing team in 2017. They helped create a Guinness World Record! They cooked a huge amount of Khichdi, a traditional Indian dish. They made 918 kilograms of it at the World Food India exhibition. This was a truly impressive cooking feat!
As of 2019, Chef Sethi holds an important position. He is the corporate executive chef for the Radisson Hotel Group. This means he helps manage the food and kitchens for many hotels.
