Playing Basketball in College
Ramel Curry loved basketball from a young age. After playing in high school, he went on to play college basketball. He attended Fresno City College first. Later, he played for California State University, Bakersfield, which is part of NCAA Division II. Curry played for the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners for two seasons, from 2000 to 2002.
Ramel Curry's Professional Career
Curry had a long and successful career playing basketball around the world.
Early Career and First Wins
In 2008, he helped Hapoel Jerusalem win the Israeli Cup. He then won the Ukrainian League championship in 2010 with Azovmash. Two years later, in 2012, he won the Ukrainian League championship again, this time with Donetsk.
Playing for Panathinaikos
Curry joined Panathinaikos, a famous team in Greece. In 2013, he helped them win the Greek League championship. He played so well that he signed another contract with the team.
His next season with Panathinaikos was also very successful. He won the Greek Cup in 2014. He was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the final game! He also won the Greek League championship again with Panathinaikos that same year. After these great achievements, Panathinaikos decided to release him in 2014.
Later Career Teams
For the 2014–15 season, Curry signed with Limoges CSP, a team in France that also played in the EuroLeague. In March 2015, he left Limoges. He then joined Virtus Roma in Italy for the rest of that season. Ramel Curry continued to play professional basketball until 2019.
