Ramon Solsona i Sancho was born in Barcelona on February 7, 1950. He is a writer and publicist from Catalonia. He studied Romance Philology at university. He used to be a high school teacher.
Ramon Solsona is known for his funny and ironic writing style. He has worked with many newspapers like Avui, Diari de Barcelona, and La Vanguardia. He also works with radio stations such as Catalunya Ràdio and RAC 1. Currently, he is a part of the radio show El Matí de Catalunya Ràdio.

Ramon Solsona's Career
Ramon Solsona has also written poetry. He used the pen name Lo Gaiter del Besòs for his funny poems. His novel Les hores detingudes won three literary awards in one year. This book was also translated into Spanish and French.
He has worked as a writer for television shows on TV3. These shows include Agència de viatges, Estació d'enllaç, and El cor de la ciutat. He also wrote the words for the song celebrating 100 years of FC Barcelona in 1998. The music for this song was created by Antoni Ros-Marbà. In 2010, he won the premi Sant Jordi de novel·la for his book L'home de la maleta.
