Randall Manor is a friendly neighborhood on the North Shore of Staten Island. Staten Island is one of the five boroughs that make up New York City, United States. This neighborhood is surrounded by specific streets. Bard Avenue is to the west. Henderson Avenue is to the north. Forest Avenue is to the south. Lafayette Avenue is to the east. It used to be part of a larger area called Elliottville.

Who Was Randall Manor Named After?
The neighborhood gets its name from Captain Robert Richard Randall. He was a very important person. Captain Randall was the founder of Sailors Snug Harbor. This was a special home for retired sailors. Randall Manor is located right next to Sailors Snug Harbor. It sits between two other neighborhoods: New Brighton and West Brighton.
What Makes Randall Manor Special?
Randall Manor is one of the few nice neighborhoods on Staten Island. It is not located on the main hills that cross the island. These hills include places like Emerson Hill and Todt Hill. Most of Randall Manor was already built before 1964. That is when the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge opened. Because of this, the neighborhood did not change much. It was not affected by the building boom after the bridge opened.
Randall Manor is also very close to the St. George ferry terminal. This makes it easy to travel to other parts of New York City. Being so close to the ferry makes Randall Manor a very popular place to live. It is considered one of the most attractive spots on the island.
Getting Around Randall Manor
It is easy to get around Randall Manor using public transportation. Several local buses serve the neighborhood. The S48, S98 buses run along Forest Avenue. You can catch the S46, S96 buses on Castleton Avenue. The S44, S94 buses travel along Henderson Avenue. There is also an express bus, the SIM30. This bus also makes stops in the neighborhood.
