Ranjon Ghoshal's Life Story
Ranjon Ghoshal was born in a small town called Memari in West Bengal, India. His parents were Leela and Tarapada Ghoshal. He had three older brothers, one sister, and a younger brother.
On April 27, 1980, Ranjon married Sangeeta Ghosh. They later had two sons, Indrayudh and Abhimanyu. The family lived in Bangalore, India. Their home was even known as "Yellow Submarine" because many Bengali celebrities visited there.
Early Career and Education
Ranjon studied electrical engineering at Jadavpur University. He also earned a postgraduate degree in Industrial Management from NITIE, Mumbai. Before becoming a designer and business owner, he worked for BHEL for a few years.
His Role in Moheener Ghoraguli
Ranjon Ghoshal was a cousin of Gautam Chattopadhyay. Gautam founded Moheener Ghoraguli in 1975. This band is considered one of the first modern bands in Bengal and India.
Ranjon was very important to the band. He was the presenter for their shows. He also helped write some of their songs. He handled all the band's media interactions. He even designed their album covers.
Theatre Work and Other Projects
Ranjon was very active in the theatre scene in Bangalore. He directed and performed in English plays with his group, Forum Three.
He also worked hard to keep the music of Moheener Ghoraguli alive. He organized special concerts like the First Rock Concert in Bangalore. He also put on "Abar Bochhor Tirish Pore" in Kolkata.
