Raven & Rose is a restaurant located in Portland, Oregon. It also has a cool upstairs bar called The Rookery. Both of these spots are found inside a historic building known as the Ladd Carriage House.
About Raven & Rose
Raven & Rose is a restaurant that gets its ideas from the "British Isles." This means its food and style are inspired by places like Ireland and the United Kingdom. You can find it in downtown Portland, right on Southwest Broadway.
The Rookery is the bar located on the upper floor of the same building. It's a popular spot for drinks and hanging out.
History of the Restaurant
The team behind Raven & Rose has been working hard for years. In 2012, Dave Shenaut became the bar director. He was still in that role as of 2015, helping to create fun drinks for guests.
In January 2016, Lisa Mygrant, who owns Raven & Rose, announced some exciting news. She hired Daniel Mondok to be the new executive chef. An executive chef is in charge of all the food and the kitchen.
Like many places, Raven & Rose and The Rookery had to close for a short time during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a time when a new sickness spread around the world. On March 14, 2020, the restaurant started offering food for people to pick up and take home. They even had a special menu ready for St. Patrick's Day!
