The Story of Raysville
Raysville was first planned and started in 1832. People decided where the streets and buildings would go. The community got its name from a very important person. He was James B. Ray, who was the fourth governor of Indiana. A post office opened in Raysville in 1830. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. The post office closed down in 1907.
