Red Bank is a small community located on the western side of Evansville, a city in the state of Indiana, United States. It's not a separate city or town with its own government, but rather a part of Perry Township in Vanderburgh County.
What is Red Bank Like?
Red Bank is bordered by Broadway Avenue and Middle Mount Vernon Road to the south. To the east, you'll find Carpentier Creek. Most of the homes in Red Bank are located around Bosse and Claremont streets.
Shopping and More
This area has many different places to shop and eat. You can find a wide variety of restaurants and stores. There are also two large supermarkets and a major Wal-Mart store. Many people think this part of Evansville has some of the best shopping options.
Old Roads and Highways
One of the main roads in the community is called Red Bank Road. People say it might be the oldest road within the city limits of Evansville. The Lloyd Expressway, a major highway, passes just north of Red Bank. This highway gives easy access to Indiana State Road 62.
Red Bank and Mud Center
You might see another community called Mud Center on maps. It's very close to Red Bank. Even though it's a separate place, people who live in the area usually think of Mud Center as part of Red Bank. In fact, most locals don't even know the name "Mud Center"!
