Elders and community members, who know a lot about the Anishinaabe language and the history of the Red Lake Nation, support the college.
A New Campus in the City
In 2024, Red Lake Nation College opened another campus. This new campus is in downtown Minneapolis. It helps students who might live away from the reservation. This way, more people can attend the college. They can get a great education.
Working Together with Other Colleges
Red Lake Nation College is part of a group. This group is called the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC). AIHEC is a community of colleges. These colleges work to make tribal nations stronger. They also help improve the lives of American Indians and Alaska Natives. Red Lake Nation College was started to meet the education needs of American Indians. It often serves people who live in faraway places. These places might not have other ways to get education after high school.
