Red Rock is a community in Pinal County, Arizona, United States. It is located along Interstate 10, a major highway. In 2020, about 2,625 people lived there.
The area is about 1,865 feet (568 meters) above sea level. This measurement comes from the local water tower.

About Red Rock
Red Rock was mostly farmland for a long time. Recently, new neighborhoods with many homes have been built there.
The area also has large parts of the undeveloped Sonoran Desert. This desert is known for its unique plants and animals. Picacho Peak State Park is a state park located about six miles northwest of Red Rock. It's a great place for hiking and enjoying nature.
Red Rock has its own school, called Red Rock Elementary School. It serves students from kindergarten up to eighth grade.
Power Plants in Red Rock
Red Rock is home to two important power plants. They are the Saguaro Power Plant and the Saguaro Solar Power Station. Both of these plants are owned by a company called Arizona Public Service (APS).
The Saguaro Solar Power Station is a special kind of solar plant. It uses mirrors to focus sunlight and create electricity. It can produce 1 megawatt of power.
ASU's Solar Energy Project
Arizona State University (ASU) has partnered with APS for a big solar energy project. They are building a 29-megawatt solar facility near Red Rock. This project helps ASU get more of its energy from the sun.
With this new facility, ASU will get more than 150% more solar energy than before. This helps the university use cleaner energy.
