Reginald Lindsay was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Morehouse College and earned a degree in 1967. Later, he studied law at Harvard Law School and graduated in 1970.
Legal Career
After law school, Reginald Lindsay worked as a lawyer in Boston, Massachusetts. This is called "private practice" because he worked for himself or a law firm. He did this from 1970 to 1975.
Public Service Role
From 1975 to 1977, he took on a public role. He served as the Massachusetts state commissioner of public utilities. In this job, he helped oversee services like electricity and water. After this, he returned to his private law practice until 1993.
