Rei Ayanami facts for kids
Rei Ayanami (綾波 レイ, Ayanami Rei) is the central character from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. She is a very popular character. In 1996 and 1997, Rei Ayanami was listed as a best female character in anime under the version journal Animage.
Rei was born in the underground laboratory Nerv, but all information of her childhood was lost. It is known that she has many "spare bodies", which are used for the reincarnation of Rei if she dies.
