Reinier Kreijermaat (born April 25, 1935 – died January 22, 2018) was a Dutch football player. He played as a midfielder, which is a player who helps both defend and attack. Reinier was known for his strong play in the 1960s.
A Football Journey
Reinier Kreijermaat started his professional football career in 1956. His first team was USV Elinkwijk. He played for Elinkwijk until 1959.
After that, he moved to Feyenoord, one of the biggest and most famous football clubs in the Netherlands. Reinier spent most of his career at Feyenoord. He played there for eight years, from 1959 to 1967.
During his time with Feyenoord, Reinier helped his team win many important titles. They won the Eredivisie championship three times. The Eredivisie is the top football league in the Netherlands. He also helped them win the KNVB Cup once. The KNVB Cup is a big knockout competition in Dutch football.
Reinier left Feyenoord in 1967. He finished his football career playing for Xerxes/DHC in 1968. Throughout his career, Reinier scored 42 goals. He was also known for his fair play, as he never received a yellow or red card.
