Requejo is a small town, also known as a municipality, located in the province of Zamora in Castile and León, Spain. In 2004, about 164 people lived there. By 2018, the population was around 146 people.
A Glimpse into Requejo's History
Requejo got its name from an important family called the Manrique De Lara family. This family was very powerful and wealthy in the early 1600s. They helped the area by providing farms and strong leadership.
The Manrique De Lara family had close relatives who later became known as the Requejo family. This shows how important families could be in shaping towns and regions long ago.
