Reserve is a small community in Sheridan County, Montana, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area that the government counts for population, but it does not have its own local city government. In 2020, about 33 people lived in Reserve.
History of Reserve
Reserve was first planned in 1911 and was called Wakea. The name was changed to Reserve in 1912. This happened when a post office was set up in the community. The name "Reserve" comes from its closeness to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.
