Reverse-Flash characters are usually enemies of The Flash. They often have powers similar to The Flash, like super speed, but they use their abilities for bad deeds.

Who is Reverse-Flash?

The idea of Reverse-Flash is to be the complete opposite of The Flash. While The Flash wears a red suit with a yellow lightning bolt, Reverse-Flash often wears a yellow suit with a red lightning bolt. This shows they are rivals!

Edward Clariss: The First Rival

One of the first characters to use the name Reverse-Flash was Edward Clariss. He was also known as the Rival or Rival Flash.

Edward Clariss first appeared in a comic book called Flash Comics #104. This comic came out in February 1949. He was created by a writer named John Broome and an artist named Joe Kubert.
