Rhea Tregebov (born in 1953) is a Canadian writer. She is known for her poetry, novels, and books for children. Rhea Tregebov lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Rhea Tregebov was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She went to several universities, including the University of Manitoba, Cornell University, and Boston University.

Career as a Writer and Teacher

After her studies, Tregebov lived in Toronto. There, she worked as a freelance writer and editor. She also taught creative writing. She taught classes at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She was also a faculty member at the Banff Centre for the Arts.

In January 2005, she joined the Creative Writing Program at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She became an associate professor there in 2012. At UBC, she taught poetry, writing for children, and translation. She retired from UBC in June 2017. She is now an Associate Professor Emerita, which means she is a retired professor who keeps her title.
