Exploring Ribera's Location
Ribera is split by two main roads. These are Interstate 25 and Route 3. Route 3 used to be part of the famous Route 66. You can still see old rusted cars and abandoned buildings from that time.
Many artists and ranchers live in the Ribera area. There was once a gas station and general store called Sunshine Station, but it is now closed. A well-known restaurant called La Risa Cafe (formerly the Sad Cafe) was also in the town.
East of Ribera, you would find the Imus Ranch. This ranch was a non-profit group that helped children with serious illnesses from 1999 to 2014. A TV show called Imus in the Morning used to broadcast from the ranch.
South of Ribera is San Miguel del Vado. This is an even smaller community. It was once a stop on the historic Santa Fe Trail. West of Ribera is the Glorieta Mesa part of the Santa Fe National Forest.
