Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Ribert and Robert's Wonderworld is a fun and educational TV show for kids. It mixes cartoons with real people! Mike DeVitto created the show. By May 2007, it was shown on over 120 public TV channels across North America.

Discovering WonderWorld with Ribert and Robert

This TV show is all about a young, animated toad named Ribert and his human best friend, Robert. Ribert is super curious and wants to learn "everything"! They explore a magical island that's also an amusement park called WonderWorld. Each episode, they learn about a new and exciting topic. The show's motto is: The first show a kid can ride!

How Each Episode Works

Every episode of Ribert and Robert's Wonderworld focuses on one main topic.

The Adventure Begins

At the start of each show, Ribert sings a song about how much he "wants to know everything." He tells Robert what he's curious about that day. Topics have included things like birthdays, dinosaurs, and how to be a good friend.

Robert is the pilot of a special roller coaster car. Ribert and the viewers, called Power Pals, ride along in this car. Everyone puts on their safety helmets, and their learning journey begins!

Solving Challenges and Finding Keys

As the roller coaster travels through WonderWorld, Ribert and Robert face three "challenges." To solve each challenge, Robert asks the Power Pals a question. When the Power Pals answer correctly, they get a "magic key." These keys have human faces painted on them and are named Jenn, Lee, and Tiffany.

Ribert asks each "magic key" to open a door. Behind each door, human "friends" appear! They perform a skit or a task that helps explain the day's topic. One of these doors often reveals Cousin Chris, who draws a picture related to what they're learning. After each presentation, Ribert and Robert talk about it before moving on to the next challenge.

The Secret Word and Farewell Song

Once all three "magic keys" are found, a "secret word" is revealed. This word is always connected to the day's topic. Clues for the "secret word" are given to the Power Pals throughout the episode. After their mission is complete, Ribert and Robert say goodbye to the Power Pals with a fun song.
