These include Chef Antonio, Raveena's, and Pizza Presto!
About 1,000 people work at Richelieu Foods. The company has four main factories. These factories are located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and Wheeling, Illinois, where they make pizza. They also have a factory in Washington Court House, Ohio, for pizza crusts. Another factory in Grundy Center, Iowa, and Elk Grove Village, Illinois, makes sauces and dressings.
Company History
Richelieu Foods began in 1862. By 1956, the company was known as Western Dressing Inc. An investment group bought the company in 1988. This group helped the company make more types of products.
In 1994, Richelieu Foods decided to focus on making products for other companies. They sold their Western Dressing brand. Later, another big company, Unilever, bought the Western Dressing brand. Richelieu Foods continued to make the dressing for Unilever for eight years.
In 2003, a company called Brynwood Partners bought Richelieu Foods. Three years later, in 2006, Snack Food and Wholesale Bakery magazine gave Richelieu Foods an award. They named it Pizza Manufacturer of the Year.
In 2008, Richelieu Foods bought the "Sauces and Dressings" part of Sara Lee Foodservice. This included a factory in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. In 2010, Centerview Partners bought the company. Then, in 2017, Freiberger USA became the new owner.
