In 2003, a company called Brynwood Partners bought Richelieu Foods. A few years later, in 2006, Snack Food and Wholesale Bakery magazine named Richelieu Foods the "Pizza Manufacturer of the Year." This was a big award for them! In 2008, Richelieu Foods bought the sauces and dressings part of Sara Lee Foodservice. Later, in 2010, Centerview Partners bought the company. Then, in 2017, Freiberger USA bought Richelieu Foods. Freiberger USA is part of a larger German company called Südzucker AG.
