Richard Cole is a former Australian rules football player. He played for two well-known teams: the Collingwood Magpies and the Essendon Bombers. Richard was born on July 15, 1983.
Playing for Collingwood
Richard Cole was a half-back flanker. This means he played in a defensive position on the field. He was chosen by Collingwood in the 2001 national draft. He was the 11th player picked that year.
His best year in the Australian Football League was 2004. During this season, he played in every game for Collingwood. He also finished sixth in the club's "best and fairest" award. This award goes to the player who performs best throughout the season.
