What is Richland Mall?
Richland Mall is a place where many different shops and businesses are gathered under one roof. It's a popular spot for people in Waco to shop, eat, and spend time. The mall has one main floor, but one of its biggest stores, Dillard's, has two floors.
Major Stores at the Mall
Over the years, the mall has had different big stores. When it first opened, some of the main stores were different from today.
Dillard's Stores
Richland Mall is special because it has two Dillard's department stores. One of these Dillard's locations used to be a store called H. J. Wilson Co. and later Service Merchandise.
In 2019, a big store called Sears closed down. Dillard's then took over that space. After some renovations, the new Dillard's store opened in May 2020.
Changes to Other Stores
Another store, Bealls', was planned to change its name to Gordmans in 2019. However, in May 2020, Gordmans announced that it was closing all of its stores.
Current Anchor Stores
Anchor stores are the biggest stores in a mall. They often attract many shoppers.
