Richard Worthy, born on March 12, 1967, is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in many science fiction and fantasy TV shows. You might know him best as Henry Fogg, the Dean of Brakebills, in The Magicians. He also played Simon O'Neill, a Cylon (a type of robot), in the show Battlestar Galactica.

Rick Worthy also had a regular role in The Man in the High Castle. He has even played six different characters across three Star Trek TV shows and one Star Trek movie!

Early Life and Learning

Rick Worthy was born in Detroit, Michigan. His dad worked in the car industry. When he was young, Rick learned Tae Kwon Do, a type of martial arts. He finished high school in 1985. Later, in 1990, he graduated from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

Rick Worthy's Acting Journey

Rick Worthy started his acting career on stage in Detroit. Then, he moved to Chicago to get even better at theater acting. After that, he moved to Los Angeles, California. His goal was to act in movies and on TV.

First Big Roles

His first big chance came in 1995. He played an orderly in the movie While You Were Sleeping. In 1996, he played Rickey Latrell, a basketball player, in the TV show Murder One. From 1998 to 1999, he played Nathan Jackson in The Magnificent Seven TV show.

Adventures in Space: Star Trek and Stargate

Rick Worthy has had many roles in the Star Trek universe. He played different aliens and one human character. You can see him in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. He also had a part in the 1998 movie Star Trek: Insurrection.

In 2001, he was a guest star in an episode of Stargate SG-1 called "The Warrior." In this role, he used his Tae Kwon Do skills as the character Imhotep.

Battlestar Galactica and Other Shows

From 2005 to 2009, Rick Worthy appeared in the show Battlestar Galactica. He played Simon, who was a Cylon model number Four. He also had a big role in the 2006 miniseries Fallen.

In 2009, Rick Worthy was in four episodes of Heroes. He played a police officer named Mike. He also played the Alpha Vampire in the TV series Supernatural in several episodes. In 2012, he appeared on NCIS as Navy Captain Logan Doyle.

Rick Worthy was also featured in a 2012 movie called That Guy... Who Was in That Thing. This movie was about actors who play many different characters.
