Rikiya Kawamae (川前 力也, Kawamae Rikiya, born August 20, 1971) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender, which means his main job was to help protect his team's goal. Kawamae had a long career playing for several different clubs in Japan.

Starting Out in Japan
Rikiya Kawamae was born in Kagawa, Japan, on August 20, 1971. After finishing high school, he joined a football club called Yanmar Diesel in 1990. This club later became known as Cerezo Osaka.
Playing for Cerezo Osaka
From 1991, Rikiya became a regular player for Cerezo Osaka. He played as a center back, a key position in defense. In 1994, his team won the championship and was promoted to the J1 League, which is the top football league in Japan. However, after 1996, Rikiya didn't get to play as much. In 1997, he didn't play in any matches at all.
Moving to Other Clubs
In 1998, Rikiya moved to a club called Sagan Tosu, which was in the Japan Football League at the time. He quickly became a regular player there. Sagan Tosu was then promoted to the J2 League in 1999, which is the second-highest league in Japan.
After playing for Sagan Tosu for several years, Rikiya moved to Mito HollyHock in 2004. He didn't play as often there. In 2005, he joined another Japan Football League club, ALO's Hokuriku. He played regularly for two seasons with ALO's Hokuriku before deciding to retire from professional football at the end of the 2006 season.
