Rikiya Kawamae's Football Journey
Rikiya Kawamae was born in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, on August 20, 1971. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he started his professional career.
Starting with Yanmar Diesel
In 1990, Rikiya joined a team called Yanmar Diesel. This team later became known as Cerezo Osaka. By 1991, he became a regular player. He was an important part of the team's defense.
Winning and Moving Up
In 1994, his team, Cerezo Osaka, won a championship. This win helped them move up to the J1 League. The J1 League is the top football league in Japan. However, after 1996, Rikiya played less often. In 1997, he did not play in any matches.
New Teams and Retirement
In 1998, Rikiya moved to a new club called Sagan Tosu. He quickly became a key player there. His new team was promoted to the J2 League in 1999. He played for Sagan Tosu for many years.
In 2004, he joined Mito HollyHock. But he did not play as much there. The next year, in 2005, he moved to ALO's Hokuriku. He played regularly for two seasons with this team. Rikiya Kawamae retired from playing football at the end of the 2006 season.
