Riss Lake is a small reservoir located in the middle of the Riss Lake neighborhood. This neighborhood is found in Parkville, which is in Platte County, Missouri.

The lake is surrounded by green forests. On one side, it borders a busy highway. On two other sides, it is next to the Riss Lake neighborhood itself. The fourth side of the lake touches the Parkville Nature Reservation, a protected area for nature.
