Rithvik Dhanjani (born 5 November 1988) is a famous Indian actor. He is also a television host and a dancer. He mostly works in Hindi TV shows and web series. Rithvik started his acting journey in 2009. He became very well-known for his role as Arjun in the TV show Pavitra Rishta.
Rithvik first gained success with the show Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. He also tried acting in movies, but his first film, Jo Hum Chahein (2011), was not very successful. In 2013, he started hosting TV shows, which became a big part of his career. He has hosted many popular shows like Super Dancer and India's Best Dramebaaz. He also started acting in web series in 2016. One of his successful web series is Cartel (2021).
Besides acting and hosting, Rithvik has won reality shows too. He won Nach Baliye 6 with his former partner Asha Negi. He also won I Can Do That.

Early Life and Beginnings
Rithvik Dhanjani was born on 5 November 1988 in Madhya Pradesh, India. Soon after he was born, his family, who are Sindhi, moved to Dubai. He has a younger sister named Heena Dhanjani. Rithvik went to school in Dubai. He later finished his college studies at the City of London College in London. During his college days, he loved acting, modeling, and hosting events.
After college, Rithvik spent about two and a half years working in theater. He did many plays and events in Dubai. Then, he decided to move to Mumbai to become a professional actor. Before joining the TV industry, he took acting classes at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Institute.
Rithvik's Acting Journey
Starting Out (2009–2012)
Rithvik Dhanjani began his acting career in 2009. His first role was a small part in the TV show Bandini. He played a character named Parth. After that, he had supporting roles in shows like Bairi Piya and Tere Liye.
His first big role was in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani from 2010 to 2011. In this show, he played Jay Khurana, a werewolf character. In 2011, he also made his movie debut in Jo Hum Chahein. The movie did not do well at the box office. Rithvik also acted in a short film called Aftermath. In 2012, Rithvik joined Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, a dance reality show. He became the second runner-up in the competition.
Becoming a Star (2013-2019)
A major turning point for Rithvik was his role as Arjun Digvijay Kirloskar in the show Pavitra Rishta. He acted in this show from 2011 to 2014. He played opposite Asha Negi, and their chemistry was loved by many. Rithvik won an Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance.
In 2013, Rithvik started hosting TV shows. He hosted India's Best Dramebaaz with Ragini Khanna. He also hosted two seasons of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, which made him even more popular. In 2013, he also acted in an episode of Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
The same year, he participated in Nach Baliye 6 with his partner Asha Negi. They won the show together! In 2014, he acted in MTV Fanaah. He also hosted the finale of India's Raw Star. Rithvik hosted many other shows like V Distraction and Nach Baliye 7.
Rithvik also won another reality show called I Can Do That. He continued to host shows like India's Best Dramebaaz (Season 2) and Super Dancer (Chapter 1). In 2016, he made his debut in web series with I Don't Watch TV.
In 2017, Rithvik hosted Aye Zindagi. He also took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, a stunt-based reality show. From 2017 to 2018, he hosted Super Dancer (Chapter 2). For this, he won a Gold Award for Best Anchor. He also hosted India's Next Superstars and India's Got Talent 8 in 2018. Rithvik also acted in the web series Galti Se Mis-Tech. He continued to host Super Dancer Chapter 3 until 2019.
Latest Projects (2020-Present)
In 2020, Rithvik participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India. He also appeared as a presenter in Lockdown Rishtey. In 2021, he hosted Super Dancer 4. He also played a role in the web series Cartel. Critics praised his acting in Cartel.
In 2022, Rithvik acted in a short film called Arranged. His performance was highly appreciated. The same year, he hosted the Global Excellence Awards and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. In 2023, Rithvik appeared in an interactive film called Lost and Found in Singapore. He also had a role in an episode of the mini-series Butterflies.
In 2024, Rithvik started the year as a panel member on the reality show Aapka Apna Zakir. He also played the character Ved in the second season of Half Love Half Arranged. His acting in this show was also praised.
Personal Life
Rithvik Dhanjani met actress Asha Negi while working on the show Pavitra Rishta in 2011. They started dating later that year. After being together for seven years, Rithvik and Asha decided to go their separate ways in May 2020.
