The River Morda is a small river found in Shropshire, England. It flows mostly to the south-west of the town of Oswestry. The river starts its journey in Llechrydau, Powys, which is in Wales. It then crosses the border into England. Finally, it joins the River Vyrnwy near a place called Domgay.

River Morda's Journey

The River Morda flows generally towards the east. It travels for about 27.1 kilometers (16.8 miles). The river's path can be thought of in two main parts for study.

Where the Water Comes From

The River Morda collects water from an area of about 30 square kilometers (11.6 square miles). This area is called its drainage basin. Many smaller streams flow into the main river. There is also one larger stream that joins it from the east.

What You See Along the River

Most of the land around the River Morda is used for farming. You will see large fields of grass where animals might graze.

After passing a place called Llawnt, the river flows through a wooded area. This part is about one kilometer long. Then, the river reaches Morda, which is the first town it flows through.
