A Look at the Church's History
The Riverside Church building was designed by a famous architect named Addison Mizner. It was finished in 1926. This church is so important that it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on September 22, 1972. This list keeps track of places that are important to American history.
In 2012, the Florida group of the American Institute of Architects also recognized the building. They put it on their list called Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places. This shows how special its design is.
