The Monument River (or rivière du Monument in French) is a river in Quebec, Canada. It flows through the area of Saint-Théophile. This area is part of the Beauce-Sartigan Regional County Municipality.
The Monument River is a smaller river that flows into the Rivière du Loup. The Rivière du Loup then joins the Chaudière River. Finally, the Chaudière River flows north and empties into the famous St. Lawrence River.

River Name History
The name Rivière du Monument became official on December 5, 1968. This was decided by the Commission de toponymie du Québec. This commission is in charge of naming places in Quebec.
