Rob Mallard's Acting Career
On September 14, 2016, it was announced that Rob Mallard would join the cast of Coronation Street. He plays Daniel Osbourne, who is the youngest son of Ken Barlow (played by William Roache). Rob is the third actor to take on this role.
Rob shared that he grew up watching Coronation Street. He said it was very exciting to join the show and play a character like Daniel. The show's producer, Kate Oates, mentioned that Daniel is a different kind of character. She described him as sensitive and someone who loves books.
