Early Life

Music Career
Early Projects: Calendars and Tha City (2011–2013)
In 2012, Robb Banks released his first mixtape, Calendars. This project featured Robb rapping over beats from artists like Clams Casino and SBTRKT. It also used samples from artists like Aaliyah and OutKast. The mixtape became very popular on the website Tumblr. He worked with producers such as Nuri and SpaceGhostPurrp. He also started touring, building a strong fan base.
After a short break, Robb began working on his next project, Tha City. He released songs like "Practice", "All the Way Live", and "On Me" to promote it. Tha City came out on October 1, 2013. Before this, there were rumors about whether Shaggy was his father. Robb confirmed this by using an old family photo of himself and Shaggy for the album cover. After Tha City was released, Robb took another break to tour and share his music globally.
New Music and First Album: Year of the Savage (2014–2015)
Throughout 2014, Robb Banks toured a lot and released little new music. He was mainly working on his album, Year of the Savage. By the end of the year, he started hinting at new projects. In December, he released "2PhoneShawty," a promotional song for his first official release.
In 2015, Robb started creating new music for Year of the Savage. Much of this new music was produced by his friend Nuez. In April, he released two extended-plays (EPs). These were 2PhoneShawty and No Trespassing. The 2PhoneShawty EP included songs that didn't make it onto Year of the Savage. No Trespassing was a collaboration with rapper Chris Travis.
On August 13, 2015, Robb Banks released "Pressure," the main song from his album. He continued to promote Year of the Savage by releasing several freestyle tracks. During one of these, "Throw It Up," he announced the release date for his album. Year of the Savage was released on October 2, 2015, through 300 Entertainment.
C2: Death of My Teenage and Rich Gang (2016–2017)
On September 27, 2016, Robb Banks released C2: Death of My Teenage. This mixtape was a follow-up to his first project, Calendars. It featured other artists like Los Hosale and XXXTentacion. XXXTentacion was a co-founder of Members Only, a group Robb later joined. The song "BETT" was released before the mixtape.
After the mixtape, Robb went on a tour with the same name. Other rappers like Ski Mask the Slump God, Wifisfuneral, and Ronny J were also part of the tour. In early 2017, Cash Money Records founder Birdman announced that Robb Banks had joined the label's Rich Gang group. Robb later confirmed he was part of Rich Gang but would remain an independent artist.
Around this time, Robb also announced a new project called "Falconia." This project was planned as a sequel to his earlier mixtape, Tha City. On September 26, 2017, Banks released the EP Cloverfield 2.0. Later, on December 27, 2017, he released another EP called 2: Pillz.
Molly World and Falconia Journey (2018–2019)
On February 12, 2018, Robb Banks released the song "A Milli (4 M's)." He also announced his upcoming mixtape, No Rooftops 2: Reloaded. A few weeks later, Banks released his mixtape Molly World through Empire Distribution on March 9, 2018. One song from Molly World, "Let Da Beat Build," was included in Cash Money's "Before Anythang" Documentary Soundtrack. On April 7, 2018, Banks and Wifisfuneral released "EA," a song from their planned project together.
On April 27, 2018, Banks announced that his long-awaited project "Falconia" would arrive in summer 2018. However, the release date was delayed again. On August 17, 2018, the third part of his Cloverfield series was released. This project mostly contained songs that were considered for "Falconia." In 2019, after a joint project with Wifisfuneral, Robb released Road to Falconia on December 13, 2019. This project is now seen as a full introduction to his "Falconia" album.
Recent Releases: No Rooftops 2 and Tha Leak (2020–Present)
On April 16, 2020, Banks released No Rooftops 2, a sequel to his earlier mixtape. This mixtape included beats from the early 2000s and some new ones. Later that year, Robb released a two-part project called Tha Leak. The first part had mostly new songs, and the second part had various leftover tracks from the same year. On April 19, 2021, Banks released the EP Few Pillz, which is a follow-up to his 2017 EP 2 Pillz.
A year after his last project, Robb Banks finally released Falconia on April 30, 2022. This was his most anticipated work, featuring 17 songs. On June 23, 2022, a deluxe version of the album, called Falcon of the Millennium, was released. It included 10 extra songs, like "Outside."
Musical Influences
Robb Banks' music style is known for using many samples from old school R&B, pop culture, and Japanese anime. Robb has said that Biggie Smalls inspired him to rap. He also mentioned that one of his favorite artists is the British singer Sade. Robb has also named Lil' Wayne, Webbie, SpaceGhostPurrp, his father, and Slug as influences on his sound.
His famous tag, "I Think I Might Be Happy," is often heard in his music. It comes from a scene in the U.S. version of the TV show Skins. Banks often mentions the Japanese anime Naruto and says it's his favorite. He also calls himself "Femto" from the Japanese manga, Berserk.
